Built on a couple of acres of the Kelly family land, just beside where Paddy himself grew up. Ardglas is situated on an elevated site with a spectacular view of the quiet still Muckish Mountain in total contrast to the Cathedral spire and busy town of Letterkenny below.

Both Paddy and Breid are equally hands on when tending to their guests at Ardglas. They are both very easy going and will make you feel like you have all the time in the world to stop and chat a while. Whilst both keen golfers, they realize that there are guests who will prefer to spend their time in other ways. There’s plenty to do in the Letterkenny area. For those who love the outdoors, angling on Lough Swilly or Paintballing and for those who like the comfort of the indoors, visit the Corn & Flax mills or the County Museum and see how Paddy Kelly’s predecessors and the other people of the area would have lived in times gone by!
Actually, saying Paddy and Breid are keen golfers, is an understatement! They drink, eat and sleep golf! So much so, that they are members of not one but two golf clubs, the local Ballybofey &Stranorlar golf club and because Breid is a Donegal Town girl they are also members at Donegal (Murvagh). Breid plays off 31 and Paddy off 25, good for two senior players. Being senior, gives them the added advantage of getting to play all of the golf courses in the area for reduced green fees, and the location of Ardglas means that they have access to some of the finest courses in Ulster both parkland and links, that means that you can too!! If you are spoilt for choice just ask your hosts they’ll point you in the right direction, or take a look at some of the information booklets. They will also pre-book tee times and equipment where required. If the weather is a little inclement, you’ll be glad to make use of the tumble dryer and drying room available to guests, especially if you’ve been playing on one of the links courses. Breakfast at Ardglas can be a golf lesson in itself, like everything else in this comfortable home, it is a joint effort! Paddy, a retired teacher gives Breid a hand in the dining room and loves to get the golf chat going first thing in the morning!! Breakfast times are flexible to accommodate those with early tee off’s, and the food at Ardglas has been known to knock a shot or two off a round!! Just check that boiled egg, it’s probably round with dimples on it!!!
