Town & Country Homes and Irish Farmhouse Holidays - more familiar as Ireland’s inviting Bed & Breakfasts or the ‘B&Bs’.
For 2008, more ‘b&b’ components have been added to create a new range of Specialist Themed Holiday Experiences, quite simply - the belief that your holidays can but only get better with the extra care and attention to detail being provided by our homes while you pursue your specialist activity.
For years our hosts, with the help of their families have breathed life, warmth and individuality into each of our welcoming B&B’s. This holiday style is so easy going, guests just keep returning for more. Any building can accommodate people, but these homes inject their own personal touch to make their home as comfortable and welcoming to all who pass through the door.
Not ‘resting on their laurels’, these themed breaks are a real effort to provide hospitality at its very best. Training has been undertaken, new and improved standards implemented, and by networking together, homes are creating a truly memorable Irish holiday experience.
The Specialist Themes are:
Angling: The whoosh of the fishing line as it is cast out for the first bite of the day…..sounds good? Our specialist angling homes are very knowledgeable on the current angling activities in their local areas and will be delighted to make any arrangements for you and/or set you up with a Gillie. Drying room facilities are always available.
Walking: Inhale the fresh Irish air as you walk over green hills and valleys, drinking in the scenery around you. Our specialist walking homes have up to date knowledge of all local walks including maps and can arrange a walking guide suitable for a range of ages groups and abilities. Basins to soak your feet available on request!
Golfing: Fore! You have been warned, with the number of excellent golf courses available, having to choose will not be easy! Our specialist golf homes will prearrange tee-times and hire of equipment in any of their local golf courses, along with having up to date knowledge of competitions and allocated visitor days. Collection from the ‘19th ‘can also be arranged!
Food: ‘Bia Blasta’, an Irish term meaning tempting food. Explore the culinary areas of Irish Cooking, from freshly grown produce to visits to farmers markets to the best part of all, eating the end result, mmmmm! Our specialist food homes can arrange activities related to food, such as cookery demonstrations or herb growing to name a few and the in-house cooking will be second to none, in season and local where available. You may need to go on a specialist walking trip after this one!!
Heritage & Culture: Ireland is steeped in history - castles, churches, tombs, storytelling, music and dance - something for the mind and the soul. Our specialist Heritage & Culture homes have visited and experienced first hand their local sites and visitor centres. They will have brochures on site and can pre-book tickets, tours and exhibitions and will let you know which pub has the best Seisún with tales and songs of old Ireland. You’ll drift off to sleep that night tapping your feet!!!
